For the past 15 years the Perio Institute has been presenting "hands on" courses in perio. Approximately five years ago we started teaching other dental disciplines including surgical implants, oral surgery, hygiene management and endo.

Stress Free Endo - Beyond engine driven Ni-Ti. Our instructor Dr. Barry Musikant is a wet fingered endodontist that practices in New York. He, just like you, became very interested in Ni-Ti techniques. He was able to do faster endo, but he soon found that his stress level using this system had increased....dramatically!

Why would a trained endodontist's stress level go up? Many of you already know the answer to that question. If not, here are some of the reasons:

• Engine driven Ni-Ti instruments are inherently prone to failure.


• What do you do about the medical and legal implications of broken instruments left in the canal.


• Costs as much as 10 times more than conventional instruments.


• Instruments have to be replaced more often, although you don't know when.

Barry decided the stress was not worth it and developed a mixture of time tested, traditional endo techniques with a few new concepts that allowed him to produce faster and more predictable endo with all the STRESS GONE! That is what this workshop is all about. Dr. Musikant's graduates tell me that they are (1) performing more one-visit endo (2) achieving perfectly shaped canals in approximately 5 minutes per canal (3) eliminated almost all of the flare ups and post operative pain (4) were able to irrigate closer to the apex without fear (5)expressing NAOC past the apex and (6)performed his techniques ecomonically.
