Dear Doctor,

The Perio Institute is delighted to offer this Hands On perio surgery course in your area. The Perio Institute has been teaching mild to moderate perio surgical skills to the general practicing dentist for over ten years. This course is suitable for upgrading anyone's skills and knowledge in surgical periodontal therapy.

The need for knowledge and skills in basic periodontal surgery is increasing in general practice as more practitioners are becoming efficient a periodontal examination and diagnostic techniques. This participation course is designed to enhance or develop the practitioners' skill in basic periodontal flap surgery. Most Perio Institute graduates are surprised to find out that while we teach perio surgical procedures, we are not pro-surgery. The surgical procedures will be taught on fresh frozen swine mandibles which will provide a clear understanding of each procedure. Topics to be covered include; instruments, basic flaps, modified Widman procedure, open flap curettage, continuous sling suture, palatal flaps, osseous concepts, surgical records, plus how to select the general practice. Everything you will need for this Hands On course is furnished by the Perio Institute.

When you complete our course you will have a sound philosophy and necessary skills that you can build on with practice and continued study. If you want to do more of your own perio surgery, this is a course you won't want to miss! There is not a better way to enhance the care you can provide your patients on Monday morning than to experience this intensive Hands On course.

This course provides 16 hours Maintenance, Fellowship or Mastership credit. Enrollment is limited. Register early.

Please take a moment to review the information, and don't hesitate to call me if I can be of further help.

Sincerely,

[Doug Proudlock]

  • All procedures are taught by licensed periodontists who understand your problems.
  • Attendance is limited to insure personal attention by the instructors.
