You will have an in-depth look at the concepts and practical applications for Clinical Crown Lengthening . PLUS, you will have the opportunity to practice these procedures on fresh frozen human cadaver heads. Techniques discussed include Functional and Esthetic Crown Lengthening, plus Free Gingival Grafts to prevent recession around recently placed crowns. Participants will see the indications and benefits of these procedures and how they directly impact not only better dental health, but also better restorative results and happy patients. Happy patients in turn lead to more referrals!

Expect us to provide one cadaver head for each two students so you can have direct experience and gain confidence.  You will perform Crown Lengthening (including osseous surgery with rotary instruments) and Free Gingival Grafts, from the first incision to the final suturing.  In addition, we will take time to dissect out certain anatomical structures that we know concern you, like the greater palatine and mental nerves. All instruments, sutures and other disposables are provided.
