Dr. Erica Migliorati

Graduated from the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil in 1973. She holds a Post-Graduate Degree in Periodontology from USP. Dr. Erica Migliorati has worked in Periodontology for the last 30 years in all capacities including teaching, research and patient care. Working as a member of
different oncology teams she has been involved in the periodontal treatment of patients with cancer, patients in
need of bone marrow transplant and those affected by oral complications
of cancer therapy. Her research work included the use of the laser light as
an adjunct to procedures performed in the oral cavity, HIV infection and
Immunosuppression. Currently she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry, Memphis. She is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Laser Dentistry.
